GKN Driveline Zumaia dedicated to the manufacture of homokinetic transmissions for the automotive sector, has incorporated a Formtracer CV-3100H4 from Mitutoyo to its Metrology Laboratory.

It is a single device that allows separate measurement of the profile and the surface state of the part, being able to combine both results in a single FORMTRACEPAK software.
With the acquisition of this second equipment, GKN strengthens its confidence in Sariki - Mitutoyo, deepening the collaboration initiated in 2005 with the implementation of a RA-2000 CNC Measuring Machine.
The CV-3100H4 of Mitutoyo is a system composed of two differentiated units of measurement for the Measurement of Profiles and the control of surface (Roughness and waviness) that offers the greater capacity of measurement for both processes. Thus, in the case of measuring Profiles, it offers a capacity of 50 mm on the Z axis. For the measurement of Roughness, the measurement range is 800 microns.
Both measurement results are combined in a single Formtracepak program that allows the optimal level of documentation of the measurement results in a unique environment.
